Meet the milliner
A studio built on care and craft
I started Simply Hat Hire in 2012, in the market town of Market Deeping, with a simple aim: to help people feel confident and beautifully put-together for their most important occasions. In 2016 the studio moved to Northborough, where it remains today: a calm, contemporary space attached to my home, where every visit is unhurried and entirely your own.
I’m the sole milliner behind every piece that leaves the studio, and I genuinely love what I do. There is nothing quite like seeing someone catch sight of themselves in the mirror, wearing exactly the right hat, and stand a little taller.
The approach
How I work
A hat or fascinator is never an afterthought: it’s the detail that pulls a whole outfit together, and getting it right takes more than trying one on in front of a mirror at home. That’s why I ask everyone to bring their complete outfit to the studio: dress, shoes, jacket and clutch bag included.
Together we’ll work through colour, shape and proportion until we find the piece that feels effortless. Along the way I’ll happily share a little guidance on etiquette, posture for photographs, and how to co-ordinate jewellery and accessories, all included as part of the visit at no extra cost.

Appointments run Monday to Saturday and last around an hour. Telephone or email to find a time that works for you. When you arrive, simply park on the drive and I’ll come out to greet you personally.
